Jared André brings an appreciation for the impact of litigation on those involved and a desire to help translate complicated legal issues to his work.

Jared assists clients with all aspects of litigation, such as motions, discovery, and depositions. He works on a range of complex civil and criminal cases.

Client connections

No matter what the case, Jared believes in the power of personal connections. He prioritizes communication with clients and brings a creative approach to solving problems. He is motivated by a desire to help people, whether they are criminal defendants or corporate clients proactively seeking to meet compliance standards.

Multifaceted background

Jared’s background has given him a multifaceted view of litigation. During law school, he worked in the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law’s Criminal Defense Clinic. Many of his clients there were going through the toughest times in their lives. Jared appreciated the value of helping them with the legal questions they faced so they could focus on other aspects of their lives.

He also clerked for Judge Reggie Walton of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, reviewing motions, conducting research, and preparing draft orders. He interned for the Homicide Division of the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office as well. This gave him the perspective of criminal matters from the prosecution side, to complement his previous work on the defense side.

Jared also has experience conducting legal research in 53 jurisdictions regarding the treatment of unclaimed property, such as gift cards, as well as states’ voluntary disclosure processes as it pertains to unreported unclaimed property held by corporations.
In addition to this background, Jared helps clients manage e-discovery projects using legal data analytics in a cost-effective manner while effectively preparing his clients who were being deposed.

Jared’s interest in helping others and building relationships extends beyond the practice of law. In volunteer work with a homeless shelter and a mobile reading and tutoring program, he enjoyed interacting with underprivileged children and serving as a role model. During college, he even took up dodgeball as a way to build connections with other players. His team reached the collegiate semi-finals. In his spare time, Jared also likes to write science-fiction short stories and fanfiction for various stories that he reads.

Jared is not yet admitted to the bar.
