Jonathan Haskin represents SECIL firm clients in addressing government investigations and high-stakes litigation, both civil and criminal. His practice reflects a foundation in federal litigation, regulatory work, and internal investigations, supported by experience in government, courts, and private practice settings.

Prior to joining SECIL, Jonathan honed his litigation skills in a state and federal litigation practice in Washington, D.C., where he supported civil case strategy and motion practice, drafted pleadings and discovery materials, and assisted with client communications and trial preparation.

While in law school, Jonathan gained substantive experience with government and enforcement offices. He served as an extern with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Department of Enforcement, where he assisted in securities enforcement investigations involving FINRA-regulated entities. He also served as a judicial extern in the chambers of a federal district court judge, conducting legal research, drafting memorandum opinions, and preparing bench decision summaries. Additional experience includes work with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division’s Fraud Section, where he supported False Claims Act litigators , and a student internship with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, contributing to whistleblower investigations involving agency wrongdoing and prohibited workplace practices.

Jonathan earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of The George Washington Journal of Energy and Environmental Law. His published note analyzed disclosure and enforcement issues at the intersection of environmental and securities law. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, with a minor in Latin American studies.

Jonathan is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
