Sara Morse is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on commercial litigation and white-collar defense. She represents corporate and individual clients in all aspects of civil litigation – from case initiation through trial – as well as in criminal and internal investigations.

Sara also maintains an active pro bono practice. Her recent significant matters include representing an individual facing sentencing for federal tax fraud and a federal inmate navigating the Federal Bureau of Prisons grievance process.

Experience Across Complex Litigation and White-Collar Defense

Sara represents companies and individuals in complex litigation, internal investigation, and white-collar matters with a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach. She advises clients through high-pressure disputes and government-facing matters, helping them navigate complex legal issues with clear communication and practical guidance.

Her experience spans both commercial litigation and regulatory matters in state and federal courts. Sara has represented a Chinese technology company in trade secret litigation in the Northern District of California and a global energy company in fraud and tortious interference claims arising from a power plant construction project in New York.

Sara also has experience representing clients in sensitive government investigations and enforcement matters. Her work includes representing an audit firm in connection with an SEC investigation involving a public company’s restatements and material weakness determinations, as well as representing individuals and company in healthcare fraud and False Claims Act matters involving DOJ investigations related to Medi-Cal and Medicare claims.

Commitment to Advocacy

Alongside her commercial and white-collar practice, Sara maintains an active pro bono practice focused on advocacy for underserved and incarcerated individuals. Her work includes representing individuals in federal tax fraud sentencing proceedings, assisting incarcerated individuals with Federal Bureau of Prisons grievance filings, and representing California life-term inmates at parole suitability and resentencing hearings.
